#49 makes the new mail sound but there is no new mail

I installed the newest version of the plug in (i'm not sure which
version exactly) and every few hours i get the new mail alert but
there is no new mail in any of the mailboxes.

I have the same problem. Any time Mail.app checks for mail (I have
mine set to every minute), I get the New Mail sound without getting any
new mail.

I've updated to version 1.47 and I have exactly the same issue ! I have 2 user
accounts on my computer, with different mailboxes each time. And I have the
same problem on both.
