Bugs item #1121223, was opened at 2005-02-11 22:49 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by yourgod You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=448266&aid=1121223&group_id=47038 Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Invalid Priority: 5 Submitted By: Kathy Feller (kathyfeller) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: problem with WebResponse getTitle() Initial Comment: Httpunit version 1.6. For certain websites, the getTitle() does not return the title even though it exists in the html for that webpage. After some investigation, it turns out that the problem is that Tidy.jar returns the DOM in a format that is not expected by the HTMLPage getTitle() method. nekohtml.jar does work Attached is a zipfile with an example test case for a public site which demonstrates this problem. There are 3 different runs for the test. See runTests.bat. 1) With Tidy.jar - getTitle for login page is empty 2) With nekohtml.jar - getTitle for login page is correct 3) With Tidy.jar and a "fixed" class file for HTMLPage.java The test case displays the html which can be gotten from getText and the results of the getTitle. The potential fix for the HTMLPage.java is also included. Search for the string "kjf" for the changes. See the Readme.txt for more information. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Brad Clarke (yourgod) Date: 2005-02-12 07:38 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=257129 I think you got the wrong probject here :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kathy Feller (kathyfeller) Date: 2005-02-11 23:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=785985 Apparently, my attachment was too big. I had to remove the lib directory. But it just contained the jars from the httpunit- 1.6 distribution from both the lib dir and the jars dir. You can view the classpath in the runTests.bat to see what was there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kathy Feller (kathyfeller) Date: 2005-02-11 22:51 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=785985 Sorry, my security software blocked the upload of the attachment.
