Category: None Group: 2.3 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Tsukasa (tsukasaj) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: HtmlTextInput.type("anything") behaviour Initial Comment: As told in HtmlUnit mailing list ( http://www.nabble.com/HtmlTextInput.type(anything)-after-HtmlTextInput.select()-td20115571.html#a20115571 ) I tried to get an HtmlTextInput (e.g. tInput) which contained a value (e.g. "hello world") to be edited in the following way: 1.) I focued the HtmlTextInput: tInput.focus(); 2.) I selected the text inside the HtmlTextInput: tInput.select(); 3.) I typed a new value inside the HtmlTextInput: tInput.type("Bye World!"); the usual behavouir of a browser would be the replace the selected text (in our case "hello world") when the first key is typed on the keyboard and the steps would lead to an output like "Bye World!". Using HtmlUnit in the described way made the string "hello worldBye World!" be entered in the instance of HtmlTextInput called tInput. To reproduce the behavouir i added the source (please read the view comments) and a sample index.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=448266&aid=2187741&group_id=47038 |
