Dear All, While processing JavaScript and AJAX site i am getting and out of memory exception. The code was working perfectly for last 1-2 years, from last month i am receiving this exception. I have tired many option like by closing all the windows after completing the task. Can anyone help me?? Dear all, the HtmlUnit team would like to announce the availability of version 2.18 The main enhancements are: - IE11 and FF38 support is mature - SvgPage is added, and supports events (e.g. click()) - Improvement to .type(), with Keybaord helper - Supporting clipboard copy/cut/paste - Support PATCH Method for HTTP - As always, many bug fixes Changes list can be found in http://htmlunit.sourceforge.net/changes-report.html#a2.18 Because of the SourceForge Infrastructure problems we can't upload the artifacts to the usual download location. When setting to Chrome that particular error is solved. This successfully sets the file to be uploaded into the file input component.
The next step is to fire the upload by clicking the “Upload” button, which fails:
ScriptException: TypeError: Cannot find function append in object [object FormData]
Here’s my test method:

I tried with BrowserVersion.CHROME, since I don't have IE8.
input.files was not implemented, now it is fixed in SVN. Once we have new successful build, you can use it.
Please note it is supported in only BrowserVersion.CHROME/FF/IE11
If you still need IE8, then please trace down the single JavaScript line which returned null (but not in real IE8). You can use proxy (e.g. Charles) to change the incoming JavaScript and compare the results between HtmlUnit and real IE8.

Hi,
I tried with BrowserVersion.CHROME, since I don't have IE8.
input.files was not implemented, now it is fixed in SVN. Once we have new successful build, you can use it.
Please note it is supported in only BrowserVersion.CHROME/FF/IE11
If you still need IE8, then please trace down the single JavaScript line which returned null (but not in real IE8). You can use proxy (e.g. Charles) to change the incoming JavaScript and compare the results between HtmlUnit and real IE8.

Upon further analysis, it was determined that JS was executing the src

The javascript was executing an <img> tag. Since HTMLUnit does not

Thanks for your reply. I setup an Apache webserver and followed the
sequence of JS files to be sent to HTMLUnit.
I added few alert statements inside the function. I have copied that
below for your reference:

The REal browser was displaying both the alert statements. However, I
did not see the alert statement being displayed
in my browser nor in the console of the application. I was triggering
the HTMLUnit app using another browser.
I saw through charles as well as print statements in HTMLUnit that data
exchange is fine.
KIndly let me know how to trace further.

I slept for a minute before calling the below mentioned code: WebClient().getCurrentWindow().getEnclosedPage().getWebResponse().getWebRequest().getURL().toString() I was getting the initial request only. Hi Ahmed, I was tracing the execution of HTMLUnit version 2.15 as part of the Google Recaptcha Widget download which happens through JS and image display using the demo URL http://www.patcurtis.com/captcha/recaptcha_demo.php site. I added few print statements in HtmlScript.java file inside executeScriptIfNeeded and setAttributeNS methods. I did not see any download of image files which are there as part of the widget since HTMLUnit does not download the image files by default. Hi Vasu, I tested with Chrome, Htmlunit gets the page, and tried to execute the JavaScript, but nothing happens. I observed one more thing. The "th" value in reload was different BROWSERVERSION settings. Looks like you have set the useragent to IE. Another thing which I noticed is that HTMLUnit generates "th" string length to 286 bytes but real IE browser is setting the length to 308. Let me know if you need any additional information.
