Hello everybody, I am quite new to HSQL DB, using it as a database for a project; It is working perfectly fine serving for some simple user data management, where the transactions are not too much. Can anybody suggest me about the following points: The script file (test.script) keeps growing continuously along with transactions, retaining all the SQL add, delete queries within it. 1.Is there any way to keep the database in binary (compressed) form rather than like the plain text, script file? 2.The shutdown and restart of the database is very rare (hardly once in an year!) - with such a requirement , I would like to know how keep the data in an optimized manner (preferably in binary non-readable format), keeping the database running without shutting it down. 3. What is the size limit to which the HSQL DB (mainly the script file) can grow, before which 'compact shutdown' is required? 4.And is there any utility available to delete/update the (script) file automatically to remove all the unnecessary data and keep the file optimized. Waiting for your response Regards, ganapati. |
