Hi Marcelo, I was using this device in several projects, but without the JTAG connection, only using the console. I think the EJTAG description is part of the MIPS original documentation and it might be possible that the chip does not support a regular boundary scan, but only the MIPS proprietary EJTAG functionality. However, things like Flash programming can be achieved with EJTAG as well, actually easier than with a boundary scan. Besides, as there is no reals MIPS core in the RTL8181 but the Lexra MIPS clone, so the EJTAG the manuals might not reflect the real implementation on the RTL8181. However, the RTl8181 based devices are more and more rare and most manufacturers (Edimax, JAHT, ...) have replaced the RTL8181 based designs with Infineon / ADMTek ADM5120 based designs.
