Hello! Well, the Silicon is named ATJ2085, it's an SoC, and the instruction set of= =20 the MCU is compatible to the Z80.... UZIX really need an expansion slot to run .. but, anyways, i think UZIX=20 would not help on this project ... For now there are a lot of players with can run linux ... but they are all= =20 very expensive ... check archos gmini, for example ....=20 http://www.archos.com/products/overview/gmini_xs202.html?sid=3Dj22324yyb2j3= 223b3yff3f This player is very cheap, you can have a 128 MB for $40 bucks! A 1GB=20 version is about $150. But prices are getting lower and lower ... (on=20 mercadolivre) I'm not thinking about unix for this player, I don't know if this is=20 possible, but there are nice things he could do: 1. Handle playlists! 2. Handle more than 99 files in a folder 3. Edit/Create playlists 4. Filter mp3 files by ID3 Tags 5. Show ID3 lyrics 6. Better user interface 7. Read TXT files 8. Show a tux picture at boot LOL ;-) Now i'm working to pass at "vestibular" - university admission test, so i= =20 don't have much time ... but once i'm in there for sure I would like to pla= y=20 HRI too! ;-) On 7/10/05, Bruno Lopes F.
