Hello there I worked with Z80 assembly, but it was more or less twenty years ago... there is a project to run unix on Z80 that could provide pointers (MSX project called UZIX, if I recall correctly), but you must consider that it has only 64KB address space and it is slow (3.78MHz, while most SOHO hardware are 75 to 200MHz, RISCs) to our projects, I plan to borrow some code from cx82100 running on actiontec modem router, it is almost completely reverse engeniered (to the ppl who don't follow its list) and could aid on the difficulties we had in the past (mainly on how to succesfully cross-compile busybox and stuff like that). keep in touch!
