#13 can't create new projects

Current code supports opening existing documents and
saving documents from memory, but not constructing new
documents in memory. This ought to be fixed soon.

Judging by early tests, interactions between
namespaces, the schemas, and the DOM writer are going
to make implementing this difficult.
