Instructions
- Beta-4 of YFi Hotspot Manager now features a very intuitive Google Maps interface.
- Mark the locations of selected NAS Devices on Google Maps.
Open the Google Maps tab
- The Google Maps tab is located under the Realms & Providers menu on the left.
- You will need Internet access for Google Maps to work properly since the map detail is loaded from Google's servers.
- You will also need to register a key for the server which will serve the YFi Pages.
- Simply follow the instruction on the following page:

Set your location
- The easiest to do this is by dragging the map until the required location is on the center of the screen.
- Zoom in to the level you require.
- Click on the Preferences icon on the icon on top right to open the preferences dialog.
- The Snapshot button will take a snapshot of the current location's longitude and latitude values and replace those specified in the dialog box.
- Simply click the Save button to save these preferences.
- You may wish to change the map type as well. map types include Hyrbid, Normal and Satellite_. _
Add Markers
- Click on the Add icon on top right to open a dialog listing available NAS devices.
- Select the device you want to add on the map and click Save.
- A White pointer will be placed on the center of the map screen with an accompanying message.
- Follow the message by dragging the pointer to the required location.
- When this action is complete, the map will reload to show the location and status of the NAS device represented by a color marker.
Moving and Deleting markers
- Drag the marker to its new location.
- When the marker is dropped, a message will pop up requesting an action.
- Click Save to fix the marker to the new location.
- Click Delete to remove the marker. (It will now again be available in the list of markers to add)
- Click Cancel to restore the marker to its original position.
Detail on the marker
- When you click on the marker a pop-up will show detail about the NAS device.
- This detail include a list of active users on the device.
- It also includes a Photo. The Photo can be any thing and any size (within limits)
- The device's detail and photo is supplied in the NAS device's definition. (Realms & Providers -> NAS Devices)
- Active user count is taken from the radacct table in FreeRADIUS.
