here is the list of features for version 1.0 of homac:
-Quota Support
-4 custom fields on the database to store custom info.
-no you can use your avorite ftp server, no more direct queries to the DB, now we generate a password file for NIS or NSS. homac will not touch your original password file.
-scripts had been rewriten and now most of the code is on
subrutines. so adapt homac to your need is more easy.
-only perl and php code no C code needed.
What has been delayed:
-NT Support (will be avalaible as a separated download)
Release data not yet determined, but beta will be avalaible soon.

today i had started branch homac_1_0 i will add only
bug fixes, and the nt code will not be update, and shouldn't
be considered as production code yet, branch homac_1_1
will had a working nt code and documentation on how to install it, meanwhile branch homac_1_0 will had unix documentation and now the test platform is Linux and FreeBSD, OpenBSD is not on the list since OpenBSD didn't
run well under vmware :(... read more

Hi,
i had received some emails asking me if homac is still on
develpments, the answer YES.
i'm hardly working on the NT code, but with little time left
from my actual job, so the advance is really small, thats why i hadn't submit nothing to cvs nor making new releases.
also my system is having problems running 2 vmware at same time to develope the NT code also. but i hope got
a working release for september 10 or early.... read more

Hi, to some of you to might be watching this, homac 1.0 will
be released soon, i hope to had a stable version with all
planed features ready for the second week of July 2000,
Also lot of people are asking about vmail management using homac, Well homac has been never designed to do so, but i
will look how to integrate homac with some package that do so,
maybe using EXIM or qmail, but this will be for version 2.0,
version 1.0 will be Hosting only.
php4 support is not tested, but planned for version 1.0 or 1.1.
Instalation documentation will be written for version 1.0, maybe
in spanish first, later translated to english.
support for other databases is in mind, but not scheduled nor started, maybe i will use php-lib for new version.... read more

Pre Release 3 of version 0.4 include new features on the web
interface, work on the helpers has been stoped, since the web interface needs more work right now.
if you wish to help, please contact me. Perl and PHP3 coders needed .

Fixed the NT Module memory leak

New NT Code, now it runs as a service.
New Unix Scripts to process Log Files using webalizer.
There is a memory hog on the NT Version. (i'm working on it)

This is the first working version, some features are still missing
but main features are now working.

Now you can add , edit and view vhosts, also quota support has been added thanks to mod_quota in proftpd, proftpd spec an patches will come soon.

today i had uploaded the web pages wich allows to create and
edit a virtual host.

i had just uploaded a command line util to add hosts to the database, the scripts which generate the apache configuration sections and make the directories for the host.
Proftpd patches, specs and configuration file are also on the
cvs server.
