Hi Ram, If you need to familiarize yourself with HL7, a good way to start is to read chapters 2 and 3 of the standard. Any 2.x version of the standard will do -- just pick the one you will be working with if you know it. You can get the standards from HL7 (here is a link: https://www.hl7.org/library/bookstore/), but they are not free. Alternatively, there is also an introductory book available at hl7.org that is cheaper and much shorter than the standard. Hope this helps.
