Hello, in the assemblies there is a license gnu gpl, and the source code is laid out. But on the Trend Micro site, the assembly of this program is licensed under the EULA. Whom to believe? Can you clarify the situation?

The HiJackThis tool was previously owned and maintained by Trend Micro, however a decision was made to instead move the source code (and all applicable licensing) to open source and should be exclusively hosted by Sourceforge under the current GNU GPL.
The Trend Micro link you found is an older one that was overlooked in the migration process and is in the process of being modified/removed to reflect the current reality of the tool now being part of the open source community.
We apologize for the confusion and hope this helps to clear it up.

I suppose, your desktop is your default download folder. There is not any installation and no shortcut. It is the executable document to your computing device guide. You can open or delete or flow or some thing you want.

Conflicting licensing information can be confusing. It's essential to rely on the licensing information provided with the actual software, which should typically be indicated within the source code or accompanying documentation. In case of discrepancies, it's best to consult the developers or maintainers of the software directly for clarification on the correct licensing terms.
