Since the actual code is not too stable (especially missing input from mpg123 & cdrom access with badly burnt cds are likely to hang up hifi3) and a mix of c & c++, i decided to rewrite the whole thing in perl, just the hardware dependant display & cdrom functions will stay in asm/c.
I learnt perl this week, and it seems perfectly well suited to fit the needs of hifi3, which are mainly file parsing/output and formatted text input/output.
So look out for the new version soon, got some time during boring study lessons ;)
http://www.hifi3.org and http://hifi3.sourceforge.net websites are up & running, check them out for a picture gallery of the player
Just up'd version 0.0.1. See README for details, and don't expect it to be very stable (enough to use it, though) and better wait for the first beta release, the code will be completly rewritten.
Just created a SourceForge project for hifi3. A first beta version will be submitted after some small source code changes.
