[Hibernate] UNICODE experiences

Hello,
does anybody here have any experiences with UNICODE-String handling in
hibernate ?
I'm currently working in a bigger internet project where we have some
related problems in different handling of preparedStatements and
NON-preparedStatements in M$ SQL Server.
