Hello, I'm trying to write a DeepCloner to clone a large complex entity tree using reflection. It works fine with a freshly created entity, but once I run it through hibernate then it comes back with all sorts of runtime-enhancement and my cloner fails because it can't clone some of the hibernate properties (some can't be instantiated). So my question is how can I tell if an object has been enhanced by hibernate in a generic / general way? I need some way that is usable on any object so that I can try to only clone the properties from the super class of that runtime-enhancement version (i.e. my original entity class). Any tips or ideas? Thanks. - Leo |

The following code fails in the 3-2_4_SP1_CP branch (i couldn't get HEAD to work because of maven problems) public class JoinedSubclassTest extends FunctionalTestCase { // original code ommited public void testProxy() throws Exception { Long id = Long.valueOf(0L); Employee employee = (Employee) s.get(Employee.class, id); assertNull(employee); Person person = (Person) s.load(Person.class, id); assertNotNull(person); employee = (Employee) s.get(Employee.class, id); assertNull(employee); } } I couldn't find a bug about it. Should I raise one? Regards Dan |

Hi, I am new to Hibernation and facing an issue. I have Table1 and Table2 . Table1 has filed "server" and Table2 has field "machine" . Both means same thing(Can't change schema) I have a many to one relationship from Table1 to Table 2. class CTable1 { @OneToMany @JoinColumn(name ="server") //XXX could be the problem private List<CTable2> list; //get and set for list } class CTable2 { @Id @GeneratedValue @Column(name="ID") private Integer id; @Column(name="machine") private Integer machine; // get and set } I am getting run time exception when I am trying to call getList() fro CTable1 org.hibernate.exception.SQLGrammarException: could not initialize a collection: [com.company.zz.CTable1.list#1] The above code works fine if column "machine" were named "server" in table2. Can some one please tell me how to create join when both table have different column names. Thanks, Petr V, --------------------------------- Choose the right car based on your needs.
