The trouble with b is that the name of the file has to change each time =
we upgrade to a new version. How bout adding a readme file which lists =
the jar versions?

identify the versions of the libraries hibernate depends on either by:

  a) cvs comment/label
  b) name of each library jar includes it's version eg. =
commons-collections-2.1.jar

  i would prefer option b.
