[Hibernate] natural-id bugs in 3.1.2 w/ patches

these issues have fixes for some bugs with natural-ids that make them
pretty unusable. both have patches and test cases.

do you guys pay attention to jira votes? is there a recommended way to
call attention to issues that have patches & test cases?
