Would HeSuVi accept any (Smyth Realiser) A16-captured Prirs for 7.1 positions instead of 24 positions? I have some I could donate and I like mine. I have a few 24 channel PRIRs. It's been awhile since I've used Headphone virtualization but I'm revisiting the possibilities. I see that Out of your head presets work, which I guess means that A8 PRIRs' "work." Thanks so much to the developers
Also, just wondering if there will ever be an Android installation of HeSuVi. I apologize if I've seemed demanding and do not intend to sound it. I just found out about HeSuVi today and am reading up on it further now. (Will adjust the post with an edit if that would be helpful, soon)
Thanks everybody! One day (possibly soon!) I hope to donate for the use of this software. It looks promising though I have not tried yet. I'll try in a couple more days when an HD 800 with Super Dupont Resonators arrives...
Thanks all, As an aside... this discussion board is amazing -- thanks so much to the developers and Contributors here:
The Smyth Realiser A8 and A16 are (also) amazing pieces of equipment when PRIRS are captured.
Usually I use them with Stax Headphones like the 009 or 009S or Lambdas for a really faithful reproduction that's indistinguishable from the actual speaker setups (which are) captured for\against. At least the 009s are indistinguishable. The Lamdas are a bit more iffy and I suspect the HD 800 would do a better job than the Lambdas. The 009S is incredible however and the HD 800 doesn't stand much chance for the best (i.e faithful) Virtualization reproduction..
Can't wait to learn more about HeSuVi.
My hope is that eventually there will be a software virtualizing solution for personally captured prirs playable from android or IOS so that Tidal Atmos tracks and Atmos movies could be played back from a Common Phone (or 'powerful' like say a Galaxy S20 Ultra or whatever would be required to process the 5\7.1 or say 23.1 or 31.1 channel Virtualization, eventually)

I have A real Dolby Atmos Cinema I captured PRIRS for . it is a 39 channel Dolby atmos cinema that is 75 x 75 ft interior theatre space. If someone would help me upload PRIRs like these, and get them working in HeSuVi, I think people could be interested. I suppose it is possible since rengoku linked a number of PRIRS that have been taken on the Smyth A16...
Usually you need HDMI 2.0 Handshakes to do Dolby Atmos Decoding. For say, The Tidal Atmos tracks. I doubt that HeSuvi can emulate that genuin decode, but I'm curious... I'll play around with The Prirs you linked tomorrow. I am glad there is a small Bank to toy with.

Your guess is right - HeSuVi can't emulate any propietary or non-standard audio decoding. HeSuVi accepts only standard 5.1/7.1 or stereo audio stream without any "smart" encoded positioning data within. HeSuVi can't process any super multichannel audio like 7.1.4 or 23.1 or 31.1.
Of course you can send, for example, Dolby 5.1 audio stream to HeSuVi and it will make some audio output. But additional Dolby audio positioning data will not be decoded, so it will be only partial audio scene emulation.

Smyth Realiser A16 capture' is the way to go if possible... For Physically indistinguishable emulation from the real channels since it captures the whole Head\Frame and Ears. Ooyh is pretty good too. I'd like to grab those captures and integrate them into HeSuVi, but don't know how. I bet someone in the forum has done that and I just have yet to catch up.

Can you send this to me? I like to try, if you have any thing you can send me :)
Yeah i think it's possible to do it but i just don't know how. There are a few Smyth Realiser HRIR profiles over here https://airtable.com/appayGNkn3nSuXkaz/shruimhjdSakUPg2m/tbloLjoZKWJDnLtTc
Thanks, I need to look at this.

If you have a Realiser the simple way would be to record the analogue output from the Realiser.
