Does this thing exist or not??? Above status says "Alpha." The green "Download" button only downloads the HermSSL.zip patch. Under Files, hermsetup.exe (from July 2019) wants to install Eudora 7.1.
Why do I care? I should give up and move on. To Pandora. Four years ago I donated $75 through Kickstarter. Now they are on Indiegogo. The last update through Kickstarter (#14) was March of 2020. (I am still waiting for the promised coffee mug.)
But I am at a crossroads and need to make a decision. October 11, 2022 I received the dreaded email from Comcast informing me that any email clients using TLS 1.1 or earlier would no longer work. It did not give a specific date. But my current EUDORA OSE will not work. Based on very old Thunderbird.
This also raises another issue for me as to whether/how/if EUDORA OSE/Thunderbird emails - which use a different mbox variant - can be imported to Hermes.
So, does this exist or not? Where to find it? I do not want to go back to Eudora 7, which I dropped because it was losing mail boxes.

This is an alpha release and the usual caveats apply. I send the software out to new backers roughly every fortnight. You must have Eudora installed on your machine for the alpha test (it copies your old settings and mail automatically).
The software exists and it runs on Linux as well, through WINE.
Even a dollar works, the idea is to get your e-Mail so the software can be sent to you privately.

Stunnel is your answer. Been using it with Eurora 7 since Gmal gave me issues years ago. Not another issue since then.
Although Hermes may become a reality, I wonder what the ongoing support will be like. Stunnel will exist well into the future, so it appears.
