I am getting some messages that completely locks up Hermes Eudora, is there a fix for that? Specifically, every single message that I get from Google informing me that there has been a login to my account from a different source locks up Eudora completely. I have to go to the Task Manager, end the task on Eudora and reboot for it to work again. A few messages from other sources also completely freezes Eudora when I click on the message. Currently, I have to use a filter to route all Google notifications to the trash to keep it from crashing Eudora consistently. Is anyone else having this problem and is there a way to fix it?

Do you have suspicion that the Hermes part is responsible for these lock-ups? I ask because you post about the issue here rather than on a Eudora list. I get such messages from Gmail and they do not cause any problem for me.

frequently when any email client locks up while downloading the fault is due to a corrupt message. The next message after the last message which downloaded sucessfully is likely the culprint. So go into gmail and look at that message and if looks suspicious then put it into gmail spam. Report those messages to Google but putting it in spam may alert google that all is not well.

I am having the same problem. When ever I get a message from Google informing me that someone has signed into my account, Hermes Eudora locks up if I attempt to read that message. Currently, I filter those messages and rout them to the trash. Does anyone have a fix for the problem that will allow me to read those messages without Eudora freezing up?

I get the same behavior without Hermes, just Eudora. If I wait 15 seconds or so I can see the message. Small nuisance for a long time now.
