I would like to use tables in my documentation, so it
would be good if they would be supported.

Tables are planned and actually already partially
implemented, though currently disabled. If you remove the
comment marks for ":table", ":/table" and the two symbols
TABLEBEGIN and TABLEEND at the top of LexicalScanner.java,
you can use them already in HTML-based exports ("!!" to
seperate columns, "!/" for row end).
