[Helpmeict-discuss] V1 release options

Hi all

Seems to me Scott has made excellent progress in fixing outstanding
issues preventing a v1 release along with additional and very welcome
enhancements. The question is how close is the code to a v1 release.
Worthy of a beta? Even an RC?

I'm very short of time at the moment so have not even managed to try
an install of the latest CVS. Anyone else on the list able to give it
a go, or would people find it easier if a test release tarball was
made?

Comments, thoughts?
