Hello,
I have the Intel X25-V G2 40GB SSD and get this output:
korn@ubuntu:~/hdparm$ sudo wiper --commit /dev/sda1

I used this configuered script for Intel SSDs:
http://home.arcor.de/heiko.wegeler/wiper-intel.sh.zip
I also tried this script which also tried to fix the Intel related 500 ranges bug (but using perl):
http://blog.patshead.com/blog/2009/12/a-quick-and-dirty-wipersh-fix-for-intel-x25-m.html
It also fails with the IO-Error
I use Ubuntu 10.04 which uses Kernel 2.6.32-21-generic
