The Hanoi Workflow Engine is a component-based workflow engine. It can be run stand-alone in a J2EE app-server or may be embedded within an existing enterprise application or product. The pluggability has been designed on top of the JavaBean design-patterns and is very easy to use.

The projects philosophy has been to leverage Java/J2EE standards and existing open-source projects as much as possible. The idea is to provide a general-purpose workflow engine that can be reused within other open-source or commercial projects.
