Are there any open source repeater or remote base controller projects ? If not is there any interest in one ? I'm thinking of using RTLinux or PicoBSD as a base so that anyone with any programming experience can contribute. I've build several controllers over the years ... the last one was Z80 based and programmed in assembly language. There are few people with the time and or skills necessary for real time assembly language programming.

I will care of building a IBM PPC405GP and PCISCC-4 based node controller. It will use the new AX.25 kernel, thats why I work so hard on it currently. Im not yet sure whether it will run rtlinux or any other operating system, it will however be a realtime OS. I will not start until the AX.25 stack runs acceptably under normal Linux environment. Anyway, help is always appreciated. Maybe we can set up a task force during the convention?
