[Hamlib-developer] Including debug symbols in the build....

Hi All,

It seems to me it would be nice to have an option for autogen.sh and 
configure (like --debug) that would include the debug symbols compiling 
with a -g and -o0 or something, so that as developers start working 
more on code that uses hamlib rather than on hamlib itself, debugging 
would just work if they chose that option for configure or autogen.sh.  
I am not very familiar with automake, etc.  Is this something we should 
put in, or is it already there?  Is setting the CFLAGS to include -g 
-o0 the best way to go?
