Hi, I'm access a Flex Radio 8400 via SMART SDR and using hamlib to connect to either the COM port or the IP port than the Smart Cat program creates on the local machine. I'm using Kenwood ID 2001 which works up to a point, but I can't retrieve a signal strength indication from the Flex Cmd "rigctl -m 2 l ?" (ie via rigctld) returns "RFPOWER KEYSPD SLOPE_LOW SLOPE_HIGH", so there is no STRENGTH option. I'm wondering if I use an id other than 2001 if there is an option that is more compatible with the Flex or if anyone knows how to retrieve the signal strength from a Flex via hamlib. I have tried a variety of IDs without success, including 2036, 2048, 2014, 2044, 23001 & 23005. Interestingly, some of these only appear to work via the IP port, not the COM port. Anyway, to cut a ling story short, if anyone know how to get the signal strength out of a Flex 8400, I'd love to know. Cheers Steve VK3SPX |
