I don't see any responses from the rig - all commands sent by Hamlib 
time out.  Do you have an IC-7300 or IC-7300MK2?  They have different 
CI-V addresses(and model names) and won't respond to the other's.

If not that, check

- the correct USB port driver is installed. Follow the instructions 
carefully.

- the com port address - there may be two. Only one will work for CAT.  
See the "Tips for USB Port Settings" on the Icom site.

Let us know what you discover.
