Sorry to drag this one back up but still no joy in using FT897. Can I check version/load/replace the Hamlib file in the software with the latest release? I have searched for file name and no results found. Where is it stored, in the code itself or as a file somewhere?  I can only dream of the amount of knowledge you guys have in computer programming and control so please be gentle with this “user”. Thanks for all people like you do for the like of mere mortals.
