hey all, New user here, trying to get a Yaesu GS232 (not A or B) working with rotctl for use with gpredict. The GS232 is a bit different than the GS232A. I've made a couple of mods to the code so far, and gotten position reporting working OK. Position set works, but with errors. I think rotctl is expecting something after issuing the set position, but the GS232 doesn't return anything? Questions: Has anyone used a GS232 with rotctl, or am I breaking new ground? What's the general procedure for adding a new device? I'm assuming the existing GS232A code works, and that I'm breaking it in making it work with the GS232. A long term solution would be to add a GS232 device, and if there's a reasonably clear path to do so I'd probably be able to provide patches. thanks, Jason kg4wsv |
