Hi Lada,
just tested a bit with minicom. Echoing seems to work, if 7400 is
turned on then the output on startup is (modem initialization):

If I start with 7400 turned off then:

And I tried 'lsof /dev/ttyS0' as well. If rigctl is not started, no
program accesses ttyS0. If rigctl is started, then only rigctl is
listed.
# lsof /dev/ttyS0
COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE NODE NAME
rigctl 3470 df6fr 3u CHR 4,64 800 /dev/ttyS0
I didn't test the signal shapes yet, but I am sure now, that the
hardware is alright. Any other suggestions why it works with N1MM and
not with hamlib? Did I get all the parameters right?
$ rigctl --model=346 --rig-file=/dev/ttyS0 --serial-speed=19200
--civaddr=0x66
--set-conf=data_bits=8,stop_bits=1,serial_parity=None,rts_state=ON,
dtr_state=ON -vvvvv
tks agn es 73,
