I've add the scan function for Yaesu rigs. It will be available in tonight's download or immediately in a git clone. To scan upg VFO 1To scan downg VFO 2To stop scang VFO 0 For function commands just typeu ?And you will get a list of available functionsFor the Ft-991 it is this list:NB COMP VOX TONE TSQL FBKIN ANF NR APF MON MN LOCK RIT TUNER XIT CSQL Mike W9MDB On Friday, October 21, 2022 at 05:24:36 PM CDT, Georgina Joyce <ge...@ge...> wrote: Hello All, Apologies if my request is off topic for this list. I understand that rigctl is designed as a back end and developers of front ends only need to understand the structure. But I have used the linux command line for many years, I am at home to use it as a front end. I am struggling to read the Yaesu document on the cat command set partly because the tables don't appear to have column headers. As well as my screen reader crashes when reading a continuous string of the letter "o". So I can't explore beyond the hamlib support for my radios. Which is enough for now. While I can set frequency and appropriate tones and modes etc. I don't understand the palm, function and power settings. I see from my dump that scan is not supported so thought I'd be able to write a script to do this but this would require me understand Yaesu's cat command set. I have managed to get the USB driver working on Windows but I'd prefer to use my Mac which is not working for my 991A but works very well for my FT-818. Please could I be pointed in the right direction? Even if you could point me to the files in the hamlib source that rigctl validates as a true entry. I'd be most grateful. Thank you. I noticed the SCAN is available in all the Yaesu rigs but has never been implemented for them. I will turn that on so it will be available and use the channel number 1 or 2 to go UP or DOWN You mentioned palm function but I don't know you mean by palm function. The power commands should be setting the power level on the rig unless you are referring to mW2power and power2mW which are just conversion routines. So which power commands are you referring to?
