Hi David,
My development work was slowed down somewhat this afternoon because I
wasn't able to successfully associate a Voice with the Workflow that I
started developing for a new item. This issue has occurred repeatedly
in the past, and it seems to be fixed by some random combination of
restarting Eclipse, changing the Workflow's properties, deleting the
Workflow and starting a new one, changing the Workflow's properties,
renaming the Voice, changing the Workflow's properties, jumping up and
down 10 times, and changing the Workflow's properties. I've gone over
this a few times with Vikram, and he hasn't been able to provide any
clear guidance about what is causing the issue. I'll try to work on
it again tomorrow--if you're interested in seeing the issue in action,
I can show you what it looks like. It's very bizarre--when I try to
set the prompt for the first question block, I receive the following
error:
"The selected language does not have an associated Voice project. You
will not be able to configure interactive modules until this is
resolved. Would you like to configure this now?"
Then, I click on "OK", go to Build Path -> Languages -> English,
select the Voice from the drop-down list under "Not Configured", click
on "Apply", and click on "OK". Then, I go back to set the prompt for
the question block, and I receive the same error message again...

Dear Keelan,
I have seen this behavior, too, when using a Mac. I remember having to
do a silly extra step which is not necessary on Windows. Something to
the effect of hitting <enter> after changing the voice or the like. I
am happy to try troubleshooting with you anytime today. Just let me know.</enter>
Yours,
DSO
[8:57:30 AM] Keelan Evanini: Hi David,
[8:57:37 AM] Keelan Evanini: Do you have a few free minutes now to look at OpenVXML together?
[8:59:10 AM] Keelan Evanini: Actually, I just tried your suggestion of hitting Enter instead of clicking on "Apply" or "OK" and it seems to have worked...
[8:59:47 AM] David Suendermann: Cool!
[9:00:07 AM] David Suendermann: We need to have Vikram add this to the no-tears doc!
[9:00:25 AM] Keelan Evanini: This definitely has produced some tears from me...
[9:01:11 AM] David Suendermann: For me too, when I was preparing for the seminar I held at CCA where students use exclusively Macintosh
[9:01:21 AM] Keelan Evanini: Ooh, I can imagine...
