#1 mencoder fails on Fedora 10

Hi.

On my Fedora 10 system every h264enc job is failing with a mencoder error:

I don't know much about codecs, but on a Fedora 11 system with newer mencoder and x264 the problem don't exist. So maybe it's related to some codec options?
This is the mencoder line:

Hi,

your x264 is way too old, from 2008. Please upgrade to latest Git x264 - git clone git://git.videolan.org/x264.git and recompile mplayer to pick up the new library.
