I'm getting back into recording my vinyl as I haven't done it for a couple= =20 years. A friend plugged in one of those USB turntables (NuMark TTUSB) and i= t=20 was frighteningly easy to start recording from it using Audacity. Audacity has a feechur where you can convert recvordings from 45 to 33-1/3 = and=20 was wondering if there was a good reason to not do that. Also, Audacity has click removal and noise reduction, how's it compare to=20 gwc's? (I know... of course gwc's is better, dunno why I asked ;) ) And thirdly, any comments on the quality of the Numark's TTUSB turntable? M= y=20 turntable seems to have bit the dust and having something that doesn't=20 require an amp (or preamp) to clutter up my computer desk is attractive.=20 Although I did see a turntable at amazon that has a built-in preamp that=20 plugs into the line in of a sound card, http://tinyurl.com/ytunxz, that=20 should work OK in llinux.
