Hi, It's been an awfully quiet mailing list for these past several months. I hope someone besides me is still reading this! I have been using gwc-0.21-08 for most of this year with little or no problems, which was installed on Debian Sarge, kernel 2.4.27 or thereabouts. Now I've just installed Debian Etch, which is using kernel 2.6.18-4. I grabbed the pre-compiled gwc-0.21-05 from the Debian repository and started using it. Seemed to be fine, until... I wanted to grab a noise sample from a wav that came from a cassette. The act of clicking that eyedropper button created a Segmentation Fault warning and the program exited. I tried it again with the same result. I then unpacked the source for gwc-0.21-08 which I had been using and did the configure and make. Then I ran that version. It works, but also seg faults when grabbing a section as a noise sample. Something not right here, and I don't know where to start looking. Any suggestions or maybe something I can tweak? Thanks, John |
