[Gwc-general] gwc 0.20-10b seems to be very slow

I recently installed gwc 0.20-10b and found it to be extememely slow in 
removing large and small pops/clicks when compared with previous versions.  I 
compiled this one from source.

I then installed 0.20-09 from an rpm and found it to work more or less as I 
would have expected.

I just upgraded to Suse 9.3 which is why I had to reinstall gwc but the 
machine is the same.
