[Gwc-general] Libsndfile 1.0.0 or greater not found

People,

On RH9 using configure I get:

	Libsndfile 1.0.0 or greater not found, find it at:
	http://www.zip.com.au/~erikd/libsndfile/
	---
	OR perhaps you have installed it and libsndfile.so.1's
	path is not in /etc/ld.so.conf ("man ldconfig" for help)?

I saw someone else's post re this problem but I HAVE installed:

	libsndfile-1.0.10-1.0.rh9.dag.i386.rpm

and run "ldconfig -v" showing:

	/usr/lib:
	libsndfile.so.1 -> libsndfile.so.1.0.10

Any ideas what is wrong?
