GetURL / News: Recent posts

Fixes some minor annoyances, all suggestions from Virgil of Romanpoet.org (thanks for the webspace to test my script!)... The script now uses onSubmit rather than onClick to call the Javascript encryption function, URLs can now begin with http:// to make pasting URLs in easier, and the trailing / is automatically added if required.

Originally PHP scripts were served as text files on SourceForge, but somewhere along the way, they started executing as PHP scripts =) So, I changed the download to a text file so that it can be downloaded now.

It appears SourceForge is being shitty right now and is displaying the outdated information on the download page, so the download is at http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gurl/gurl.txt

Minor update: links with mailto: are no longer modified.

v1.9 BETA has been released. It adds support for background attributes, password protection, and removes the Convert button (it now happens automatically when you click the Get! button). Go grab it!

v1.8 BETA has been released... Includes some updates, but I don't feel like typing them again here =) Just look at the history, it says it all, hehe.

As the title says, the newest version is out! It fixes problems with links that link to anchors (#).

v1.6 BETA has been released. Problems with Javascript, especially when viewing a page using page scrambling, have been fixed. I suppose there may still be a chance that there are some errors, but most Javascript should now work perfectly.
