I need to use ttyS2 (STUART) because my application also uses a compact flash wifi adapter, which if I recall correctly uses ttyS3 (HWUART). My setup is like this: host pc <--1--> gumstix <--2--> rabbit 3000 <--1--> = 802.11b network connection <--2--> = serial, I plan connect the rabbit via the 3.3v tx/rx lines going into the ma3232 on the baseboard. My other option was to use the output from the mini-din jack and use an additional ma3232 chip to convert to a signal usable by the rabbit, but that seemed like too much overhead to deal with. As of last night, serial output from the gumstix works fine for both ttyS3 and ttyS2, I have yet to test input. thanks for the help! Soon I will be working on the network programming part of my project. cheers, Vivek G. mark gross wrote: > One last comment. > > shouldn't you be trying to use ttyS3, not S2? > > --mgross > > On Saturday 19 March 2005 21:43, Vivek G wrote: > >>I disabled the bluetooth module from starting (just changed the name of >>it's startup script in /etc/init.d) and also wrote a script similar to >>yours, but still not having any luck.
