All concerned about power, Vishay has a new DC/DC converter (completely self contained). This one is a Boost, 5W 2.5-6.0V In 3.3-6.0V Out. Good for batteries. See Mouser part Number 70-FX5545G402ADJPI The price in Q1 is a little steep. (Gordon, this part is also available as a self contained BGA package part). Also For Higher voltage, look at the Cincon Wide Input DC-DC converters (also Mouser) David. --- Gordon Kruberg <go...@gu...> wrote: > we're just about tready to go to test and I > wanted to do one last poll > for comment on the design on the wiki-- > the one issue i think i may not be able to > address is using > higher-voltage inputs (>6V) because of the heat > generated versus the > size of the board. > I will, of course, keep working on this for > something down the road... > > http://www.gumstix.org/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=+Robostix > > Gordon > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide > Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT > Products from real users. > Discover which products truly live up to the > hype.
