Hi Craig, Here are a couple of other build issues I'm running into. the buildroot currently passes a -m option to grep. This option is available in grep 2.5 but not in grep 2.4.2 (which happens to be the one on my system). buildroot comes with 4.0.8 version of sed, but it seems to execute /bin/sed (which in my case is version 3.02). If I rearrange my path, then the sed portion seems to work fine. But shouldn't buildroot do this? Perhaps the top level makefile should check versions on sed/grep and error out early with an appropriate error message? yeah yeah - my linux version is old - It's Mandrake 8.1. I'm switching over to the coLinux thing, but I thought you might like to know about the other problems with older software. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
