I called them events to be ambiguous enough until I read the code more carefully. I am just starting to sit down to do that. I am restricting my initial effort to low speed, low throughput related errors. I get the errors doing nothing on the gumstix, just the belkin nap announcing stuff, every 3 seconds of about 3K bytes. Only rx events. I find is strange that the PXA can't keep the fifo empty. In a possibly related issue, I see occassional extra characters on the console, I beleive it is the same driver.
