Well, I've made a new jig to hold my gumstix, with connector outputs to the homemade jtag interface. However, it's still not working :( OCD commander cannot reset the device. All the voltages seem fine, I'm running the 74HC244 at 3.3V with an LDO regular (And the stix with 3.7 from a li-poly battery). However, I don't have an oscilloscope or logical analyzer, so I can't see any signals. I do wonder if the stick's hardware is damaged, though it did stop working when I was busy with software only, so I can't see how. Maybe it's a really crap jtag interface circuit :( But how complex can be it?? Maybe I should try the parallel port in different modes. It's in EPP mode now I think. It's also extremely difficult to see if the gumstix is properly seated on the pressure based molex connector. Once the board is on top, you can't see the inner most pins at all. Although the three other corners which I can see seem to be properly seated. Having said that, when the stix stopped working, it was very correctly seated, as it was a software command that stopped it working. - Kim |
