I just got my Waysmall computer and read in some documentation that root password and host keys would persist between reboots. However, this is not the case. I do seem to be getting a lot of errors related to the flash filesystem on boot: jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003c0: 0x8f37 id jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003c4: 0x42dd id jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003c8: 0x440d id jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003cc: 0xefd0 id jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003d0: 0x8915 id jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003d4: 0x8c18 id jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003d8: 0x4e8c id jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003dc: 0xce99 id jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003e0: 0x00de id jffs2_scan_eraseblock(): Magic bitmask 0x1985 not found at 0x000003e4: 0x6600 id Further such events for this erase block will not be printed Old JFFS2 bitmask found at 0x000088a0 You cannot use older JFFS2 filesystems with newer kernels Old JFFS2 bitmask found at 0x00016b4c You cannot use older JFFS2 filesystems with newer kernels Maybe someone was in the middle of updating things when my computer was shipped?
