We have been running some Gumstix Overo's with Tobi-duo's for awhile using 5 VDC, 1.0 Amp power supply's purchased with the Gumstix's. We are looking at deploying some units in an environment were the only power supply is 12 VDC. According to the information about the Tobi-duo, it has a TPS62111 which can use anywhere from 3.1 to 17 VDC. But on the Gumstix website, under folder /boards/TOBI-DUO/PCB30013-R3016 there is a PDF file (PCB30013.pdf) that states that capcitor C43 should be replaced to support higher voltage. Can anybody know if we can use the Tobi-duo, Gumstix Overo combination as is with 12 VDC or does it need to be modified.
