Does your printer have a fixed IP address? Does your DHCP server know about it? (Sounds like it doesn't). If the printer has a fixed IP address, look in the DHCP configuration and reserve that address for the printer. Hello, I have an OveroFE/Tobi. I have the Tobi connected to our network with an Ethernet cable. The ip address is assigned automatically through DHCP. However, it appears that it is assigned an address that is in use on our system (a printer). What can I do to get it to use a unique ip address? Also, it looks like it is using eth2 instead of eth0. Is this normal? Here is the output from an ifconfig command: eth2 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:15:C9:28:F2:EE inet addr:192.168.101.54 Bcast:192.168.101.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:7632 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:629 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:923569 (901.9 KiB) TX bytes:68489 (66.8 KiB) Interrupt:80 Thanks, Greg Greg Ericksen Senior Mechanical Engineer ger...@re... 7642 Standish Place, Rockville, MD 20855 Office: 301.279.7970 Fax: 301.279.7973 Mobile: 202.531.5606 www.redXdefense.com |
