Hi Everyone, (I'm sending the same thing again because the board says my post is still not accepted by the mailing list, sorry if you receive this twice) We've been trying to get the caspa camera working with gumstix overo fire. Here are the steps that we've tried so far without any luck: 1- Current gumstix developer image (from http://cumulus.gumstix.org/images/angstrom/developer/current/) => Does not support caspa. Wifi works well. 2- Latest gumstix factory image (from http://cumulus.gumstix.org/images/angstrom/factory/2011-08-30-1058/) => Does not support caspa. Wifi works well. 3- Latest image using bitbake => Does not support caspa. Wifi works well. 4- 2.6.34 series kernel image with modules built for caspa (as given in http://wiki.gumstix.org/index.php?title=Caspa_camera_boards). => Camera is sometimes detected, sometimes not depending on the connection. We could not verify that the camera is operational using mplayer: we have a soft lockup when we try to stream, and we have an all-green png file if want to capture a single frame. Wifi doesn't work, the device does not even exist. It would be great if someone could guide us in the right direction and share an image that's verified to work both with the caspa camera board and wifi. So far we couldn't find any reliable/useful images for gumstix overo fire + caspa camera board.
