I'm not sure what to suggest for you to try, but don't rule out WIFI infrastructure problems just because the connection works with Ubuntu. Here at my office I have multiple wireless networks I can (attempt to) connect to, but not all work with all clients. For example, we have 1 network here that uses WPA2 that I have no problem connecting to with Ubuntu and my MacBook, but I can't connect with my Overo and my wife can't connect with her older MacBook Pro, and I've heard others have issues connecting with Windows. On this particular network my experiences are similar to yours in that I am sometimes able to connect but can only get a packet or 2 out before I'm disconnected. We have another network here that uses the same config as the 'bad' network with the exception of the essid and the hardware (the 'bad' one is cisco and the better one is an apple airport) and I have no problems connecting to it with any hardware. I've never had any problems connecting to an open (no WEP/WPA/etc) network. HTH, Chris On Tue, Jan 24, 2012 at 10:38 AM, Blaine <fr...@gm...> wrote: > Thanks Chris.
